This one day undertow is aimed at people, owner managers or key staff, who may not have taken their merchantry online and are interested in exploring the potential of social media as a trademark towers and marketing mechanism for their business. On completion of this programme, participants will have the knowledge to decide what social media platforms are suited to their merchantry needs and the skill to take their merchantry onto Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.  This undertow will demonstrate the nuts of setting up social media finance for business. The forfeit of the undertow is €60 and the trainer is Michael Keogh of The Entrepreneurs Academy.       Positive Ageing Week Plans are coming together for Arklow Positive Ageing Week 2018 with an variety of heady events scheduled to take place.  This year’s event runs from Friday 28th September to Monday 15th October and the official launch takes place in Arklow Library.  The launch will get under way at 2 p.m. and will set the tone for a wonderful schedule with events for all tastes.         Autumn Art Exhibition Arklow Visual Arts Gallery is holding its first Autumn Art exhibition.  The exhibition opens on Tuesday evening, September 18th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will run until Friday, September 28th. The competition promotes enterprise by bringing merchantry and polity groups together, in towns and villages wideness Ireland, to showcase the spirit of enterprise in their local area. Arklow was nominated for the competition in the population category greater than 10,000. This was a fantastic opportunity for the Arklow Town Team to highlight recent and forthcoming initiatives for enterprise within the town. During the visit to Arklow on the 25th of September, three judges met with representatives from the merchantry and polity sectors of the town and received a presentation highlighting the positive nature of the area. The awards recognize local people and businesses and their achievements in a number of categories.  Three nominees have been chosen in each category and the overall winner will be revealed on the night without the self-sustaining judging panel has completed its deliberations. Also on the night the 2018 ‘Person of the Year’ ribbon will be presented to well known Arklow athlete and hero Mary Hickey. Arklow United Lip Sync takes place on Saturday 13th October in the Arklow Bay Hotel and will see up to 12 acts rival it out on stage to take the first overly Lip Sync Legend title.
